Get The Skills, Strategies, & Support You Need To Fully Recover

Want an intro to the School of Recovery? Join our Summer Sessions to experience the magic and momentum of our wildly successful program.

Welcome to the School of Recovery!

MULTIPLE SUBJECTS, ONE MISSION

Support, accountability, and knowledge to make peace with food and your body.

Choose your learning path to full recovery this summer by enrolling in any class in the School of Recovery's five core subjects: MIND, FOOD, BODY, LOVE, SOUL

Master the skills and mindset it takes to recover from an eating disorder and live your best life - whether you're just getting started or have been on the road to recovery for years.

YOU'RE HERE FOR A REASON

Perhaps you've heard that voice inside that keeps whispering, "It doesn't have to be this way. You're meant for more than this..."

Or maybe you're feeling that mix of hope and fear because you know you want to recover — but you haven't yet figured out how to turn this desire into a sustainable reality.

That inner voice is correct. Your feelings are on point.

But our guess is since you're reading this, you're ready to change all that. Whether you're struggling with restriction, binge eating, purging, or over-exercising — if you want to recover, here's one thing that's certain:

Full recovery is possible and is worth the effort.

Which is why we'd love you to join us for the School of Recovery's Summer Sessions. We'll help you focus on the next steps that will inspire you to keep going.

HERE'S WHAT SUMMER SESSIONS INCLUDE:

If you're looking for consistent support, accountability, or to learn more about yourself, the School of Recovery's Summer Sessions is the perfect place for you. This 7-week online program provides the crucial elements vital to your success and personal growth.

Community Support

Make connections, get support and build relationships with other warriors who want to see you succeed.

Online Classes

Weekly classes help you learn and apply new strategies, ideas, and tools to your personal recovery.

Intention Setting

Set a compelling vision of life fully recovered and learn how to get the right things done to achieve your personal growth goals.

HOW THE SCHOOL OF RECOVERY'S SUMMER SESSIONS WORK

1. Choose Your Learning Path

First things first, decide what classes you want to take and the experience you would like to have during the School of Recovery's Summer Sessions.

Are you interested in the community support and accountability calls in addition to the classes? Would you rather save some money and learn on your own?

Enroll and choose the learning path that fits your schedule and budget the best.

2. Gather Your Class Supplies

Textbook....check

Highlighter...check

Journal....check

Pens and Pencils...check

Once you got all your supplies you'll be ready to start learning.

3. Connect With Your Community

Post daily gratitudes, give and receive support, enjoy inspirational resources, and share your intentions.

The community at the School of Recovery is a thriving place to make connections with likeminded warriors who are equally invested in their recovery and want to cheer you on, during the good days and the bad.

"School of Recovery has been a key component to my success in recovery. I found School of Recovery while I was in treatment and am so happy that I did because not only are the lessons and information helpful but the people that I have met are now my family. The SoR community has been so helpful in my recovery because I have been able to connect to people that understand exactly what I am going through and are able to offer kind and caring support when it is needed. I finally don’t feel alone and I feel like I am well on my way to getting my life back." - Jeannie

WHAT PREVIOUS STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE 💬

"There is something about being in a group setting and having a discussion and sharing that makes the experience so much more powerful.-Sarah

More student reviews here

"I found that learning with a group was a wonderful and insightful experience. By discussing each chapter with others I was able to glean new insights and revelations that I hadn't gotten through my own individual reading experience. Plus, I was able to share my insights with others that lead to "aha" moments for them. It was a very enriching experience to be able to connect with others who had the same interest in the material and were dedicated to learning how to grow by reading it, discussing it, and most especially applying it to our lives." - Laura

"Being able to connect over the material with everyone in a safe space was really wonderful; it allowed me to dig a little deeper into myself, ask questions and be vulnerable and honest without judgement. Being in a group setting with people who are passionate and dedicated to a goal (recovery and finishing the book) allowed me to relax a bit and know I am supported. I am grateful for this experience and what it taught me. I feel like I won’t be the same after this because what I learned while participating changed the way I think, and that is something irreversible! "-Tyler

"Reading together week by week was a transformative experience for me. Completing the discussion questions and sharing them with the group opened up doors for me that my Inner Critic and Ed kept shut. As each person is at a different stage in their recovery path and has valuable interpretations to share, I feel my reading experience sowed seeds of change that are continuing to germinate. As we all have the same goal of recovery from Ed, there are similarities between us and an understanding of the struggles we face and there is something magic in working together with guidance." -Margaret

MEET LAURA

Soul-Centered Student

Laura realized she wasn't where she wanted to be in her life. Having struggled with an eating disorder for so long, she firmly decided she wanted to recover. Synchronistically, the School of Recovery entered her life and has helped her lay the foundation to build towards her goal of being completely recovered. Now she is taking more risks and has blossomed and grown so much and continues to do so, and is truly loving the woman who is emerging.

MEET KATIE

Army Soldier and ED Warrior

Calories in and calories out completely consumed Katie's life. Like many others, she thought if she learned more about nutrition that would fix her obsession. After praying and talking with her support team, she joined the School of Recovery an hour before enrollment closed. After, she didn't regret her decision at all. She's the most optimistic she's ever been about her life. Now she knows where she wants to be and a lot of the knowledge she gained from the School of Recovery is how she's going to get there.

TOP FAQ'S

The Moon Call is a bi-weekly intention setting call we do near the New Moon and Full Moon where Jessica Flint leads a short lesson on an archetype, a guided meditation, and then breaks students off into small accountability groups of 3-4.

Students in the Full or Ultimate Experience can attend the Moon Calls live and then stay on to form small accountability groups with their classmates they're connected with inside the School of Recovery's community platform to share their goals and support one another in reaching them.

Every Moon Call includes a worksheet to help you get clear on your goals for the next 2 weeks.

If you decide to join you'll get access to the Map My Year training that goes into detail how to use the lunar cycle to set goals!

Yes, it certainly can. We've had students come through the program in the beginning stages and leave full of hope and insights for the road ahead.

To be clear, recovery is not an 8 week, linear event. If you truly want to recover, it takes years of effort, dedication, and introspection.

While we can't guarantee that you'll put the necessary energy into the growth of your recovery in the long-term, what we can say is this:

The School of Recovery Summer Sessions are ideal if you're just starting out because you'll be surrounded by other warriors with a growth mindset who are committed to overcoming their eating disorder. Plus, you'll be reading and engaging with content centered around the most foundational recovery books in the weekly classes.

Yes, it certainly can. We've had students come through the program that have been living with an eating disorder for over 50 years and have experienced profound healing and hope.

To be clear, recovery is not an 8 week, linear event. If you truly want to recover, it takes a belief that it is possible and that you are worthy of it. No matter how many times it didn't work out in the past, it is possible if you keep an open mind and an open heart.

While we can't guarantee that you will stay open to the transformation, what we can say is this:

The School of Recovery Summer Sessions are ideal if you've tried many different options and had no success because you'll be exposed to new ways of looking at your eating disorder and be surrounded by other warriors with a growth mindset who are committed to overcoming their eating disorder. Plus, you'll be reading and engaging with content centered around the most foundational recovery books in the weekly classes.

No. The School of Recovery™ is NOT a substitution for seeking professional treatment like a therapist or a dietitian.

It can be a wonderful accessory to your treatment team or stand on it's own if you're in the later stages of recovery. If you're not sure whether you need a higher level of care, reach out to any of the recommended centers on this page for a free assessment.

If you're currently working with treatment team we highly encourage you to stay with them. The School of Recovery™ is meant to be a supplement to treatment or for people in the later stages of recovery who are no longer routinely seeing a therapist or a dietitian.

You can access the materials at your convenience. The weekly classes have scheduled times for the students who want to attend live and participate in the discussion groups.

However, if you can't make it to a live class, you have lifetime access to the class replays.

Each class will take a minimum of 3-5 hours depending on how fast you read and write. You can surely invest more time in each class if you want to go into the coursework in more depth.

Honestly, one of the best "lessons" you can get in the School of Recovery is challenging perfectionism and showing up. This in and of itself can help break the habit of taking on too much, then dropping it and feeling bad about yourself.

Very very few people who successfully go through the program finish all their assignments while in it. They find the connection and community is what gives them the most forward motion and support. They also found relief in knowing they (and you if you decide to join) have lifetime access to material in the Student Center.

Fully recovering from an eating disorder is not an 8-week linear event. This program mirrors the reality of recovery — it's introspective, time consuming, heart-opening and something you'll work on for years to come. It is also so much more rewarding when done with the right support.

This is what continuing student, Jennifer had to say about her experience:

“It’s really well structured, there’s enough time between each lesson, you can do it at your own pace, you can rewatch things if you need, and you can revisit things weeks later if you need to check again, and it's in a really clear order and you can see the progress your making!”

This is a group learning experience so getting guidance and support is never more than a few clicks away.

While your professors are happy to accept questions and answer them if they are relevant to the class, we can't guarantee individual feedback from them for every question.

The community is a major perk for the Full and Ultimate Experience Learning Paths.

Our community is powered by a third party software called Slack and is not on Facebook.

Social media has been linked to higher levels of loneliness, envy, anxiety, depression, narcissism and decreased social skills. While we are not advocating against social media, we think your mental and emotional experience is enhanced on a separate platform.

Slack has a user friendly mobile and desktop app and is much easier to organize conversations around topics through it's use of "channels". Previous students LOOOVED it!

The community portal will be taken down one week after graduation. This will give you sufficient time to connect with your classmates outside of school by your preferred methods.

"School of Recovery has been a key component to my success in recovery. I found School of Recovery while I was in treatment and am so happy that I did because not only are the lessons and information helpful but the people that I have met are now my family. The SoR community has been so helpful in my recovery because I have been able to connect to people that understand exactly what I am going through and are able to offer kind and caring support when it is neededI finally don’t feel alone and I feel like I am well on my way to getting my life back." -Jeannie

"Being able to connect with a community of others who are on the same page as me has been so enriching. To be able to give and receive support and to make those kind of connections has been so amazing." -Laura

In the School of Recovery, I not only got what I wanted, but I ended up with a community of people who were more than I expected. Amazing non judgmental support. It was so powerful. Money can’t buy this. It was amazing. I had the opportunity to be around all these people and be heard and seen and not judged. Making it that much easier to talk about it with people around me who don’t have an eating disorder and don’t know what it’s like to recover.” - Marie

If You've Read This Far, You Owe This To Yourself

If you've read this far, you owe it to yourself to honestly answer these questions:

What if just one idea in the School of Recovery...

helps you shift your mindset and see your eating disorder and path to healing from an entirely different perspective?

What if just one strategy in the School of Recovery...

becomes your go to coping mechanism during challenging times instead of engaging in destructive behaviors?

What if just one connection in the School of Recovery...

helps you feel less alone and gives you the encouragement, comfort, and support you've been lacking all these years?

What would those changes realistically be worth to you over a lifetime?

$5,000...$20,000...$50,000...or more?

The School of Recovery can help you make step towards living the life you've been dreaming of free of an eating disorder.
